Rachel was born and raised in Jerusalem. Today she lives in Kfar Saba.
Her official career was in the education field. She has M.ed. degree in special education from the Hebrew University. For 33 years she worked with special needs children - in a variety of roles: teaching, Instructing educational teams and school management.
Simultaneously, throughout the years, since her early twenties, Rachel engaged in various fields of art, especially in sculpture.
She studied drawing and painting with teachers and painters: Dilian Chana and Menashe, Ami Kam Garama, Asad Azi and Rosie Bracha. She studied the basics and principles of sculpture with the teacher and sculptor Bilha Gal and Ronit Gal.

In recent years she is active mostly as a sculptor. A very central theme of her work is the ever- evolving social status of women in different societies over the years.
Her works bring to light the complex relationship between the woman body, the woman own perception of herself and her surrounding’s as well as the way a woman is dressed and her body changes over time.
In her work she also creates sculptures of animals (especially sheep and roosters).
Over the years she has exhibited in several group exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
